If you aren’t in love with any of our in-house colors though not to worry! We can also custom match any color thrown our way for an additional $200. 

PLEASE NOTE YOUR HARDWARE CHOICE IN THE NOTES DURING CHECKOUT: We offer a few different options when it comes to the hardware of your vintage piece — all included in the price! Our options include: leaving the hardware as is, painting it in a brass, black or silver or choosing new hardware altogether. We offer many different hardware options on our website that you’ll love. At this time, we are unable to polish hardware as each piece of hardware is unique and varies on how it will take polish.

Our current production estimate is 9 weeks but can vary based on demand and the piece. This is an estimate and not a guarantee. Our pieces are one-of-a-kind and come with their own one-of-a-kind issues, which can occasionally extend this timeline. We at MegMade believe that treasures are worth the wait and what remains consistent is our commitment to getting you your piece as quickly as possible. 

SHIPPING: We deliver both locally and out-of-state! 

CHICAGOANS: We partner with a professional delivery service called Schlep. Their price includes white glove delivery and typically ranges between $80-$160 depending on size of the piece and location. Once payment is made or you’re notified that your piece is complete you’re free to schedule delivery at any time through Schlep.it. OUT OF STATE: We partner with some amazing, independent contractors. This service includes blanket wrapped delivery to your door. Most of our shippers are lone wolves so, unfortunately, this service does not include white glove. Please note that given their shipping routes this service takes time to set up and you’ll need to allow 2 to 8 additional weeks for delivery. A lot of useless skipping around...

So, I really enjoy the underlying story, but I really wish the writing was cleaned up. There were so many little sections, a few paragraphs to a few pages that were bouncing all over the place. And while some sort of moved the plot along, the vast majority were just filler. It would have been significantly more fluid if events were portrayed through characters experiences, than just having narration about everything happening all over. In addition, I know this is a web novel, and they tend to be written chapter by chapter. This, painfully, results in less cohesion from start to middle to end. The story ends up feeling choppy, and the overall arc throughout the book suffers. In fact, over >700 pages and we really didn't make a ton of headway until ~60% of the way through the book. That's when things really started. The majority before was fluff and filler. Useful, but only once distilled and refined. I'm really hoping that for future books, Shirtaloon spends some time really thinking what is critical for the plot, and how to incorporate as much of that plot progression through the lenses of the characters in lieu of just narrating pages and pages of stuff. For example, instead of spending 100s of pages on mentioning all the places in the world crumbling from infighting and corruption, instead portray that through the character. It reads so much better, and ends up being more concise, and allows for opportunities for further character development all while building the world. I love more story, but I'd prefer reading a 700 page story. Not a 400 page story in 700 pages. Let's make all the pages matter.
