The top is sleeveless and has a ruffled neckline. The pants are cut very wide. The fabric of the top is over an acetate lining while the pants have an acetate upper and the legs are unlined, so semi transparent. The waist is delineated with rickrack that is studded
This is a hostess “dress” or pant suit, consisting of palazzo type pants and a top that can be worn as a mini dress, both in a purple coloured pleated semi-transparent chiffon-like fabric. The fabric of the top is over an acetate lining while the pants have an acetate upper and the legs are unlined, so semi-transparent. The waist is delineated with rickrack that is studded with faux pearls and rhinestones. The top and pants both close with a nylon zipper.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a small to medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 15” across
Bust: 34” around, taken at the underarm opening
Waist: 26” around
Length: 33”, measured flat
Pants:
Waist: 27” around
Hips: 36” around
Leg inseam: 29”
Overall length: 39”
Condition: It is in very good condition, no holes, wear, tear or odour - a few light stains on the pleated area of the top, not really noticeable due to the pleating. I haven't tried very hard to remove them. Otherwise, this This has been very well cared for over the years.
This is a wonderful hostess outfit - fabulous colour, great pleating, perfect period piece!
