It's made from a lightweight blended check plaid fabric from Japan, woven with a mixture of cotton and kapok yarns. Kapok is a natural fiber not too dissimilar to cotton, being harvested from a specific type of tree nut, it's soft, lightweight, and popular for how breathable it is.
