Mercury Premium gearlube is an exclusive formulation engineered to provide excellent lubrication and corrosion protection to lower unit gears in high or low horsepower engines under varying operating conditions. Contains Improved emulsifiers to help protect gear housings. Tackifiers to improve oil film adhesion to gears and internal components. Additives to protect gears from metal to metal contact and excessive wear. We recommend that you change your gearlube at least once per year or after every 100 hours of operation under normal use. 50 hours for salt water. I love this sponge holder. It is great for organizing my sponge and soaps. The steadiness is very strong. It is metal and has a drain at the bottom that you could pull out and clean.
